• Position Title: Fabricator / Welder

• Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm, M-F

Job Summary

Responsible for set-up, lay-out , and welding of various tubing and brackets. Ability to fit and weld structures. Ability to hold final required cosmetic finish with angle grinders and sanders. Use forklift in a safe manner. Read complicated prints and "spec. weld symbols."

Essential Functions

1. Tig and Mig weld mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
2. Square up and weld various geometries of components.
3. Understand various weld form symbols on blue prints and understand size of fillet forms.
4. Weld both vertical and horizontal plane geometry.
5. Understand various edge preps before welding.
6. Good understanding of set up techniques.
7. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
8. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

Peripheral Duties

1. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
2. Assists in formulating departmental strategic plan.
3. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. C-level ticket, preferably a Journeyman’s card/Four year apprenticeship program.
2. Four years’ experience either in a production or job shop environment.
3. Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
4. CWB certification in flux-core all position.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.

Equipment / Machinery Used

Welding machines, including Tig (AC and DC), Mig welder, and Plasma Cutter. Ability to weld mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel. Opperate 4.5 inch and 7 inch angle grinder, band saw, pedistal grinder, and various clamps and fixtures.

Physical Requirements

Lifting up to 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing.
