Electrical Designer

• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Develop electrical designs for power distribution equipment, transfer switches, and custom control systems.
• Prepare bills of materials and supporting manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical designers, production staff, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Support product testing, troubleshooting, and design improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable UL, CSA, and customer specifications.
• Review and revise drawings throughout the design and manufacturing process.
• Provide technical support to production, quality, and service teams as required.

·        Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

·        2+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably within power distribution, switchgear, or industrial electrical equipment manufacturing.

·        Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical; experience with other electrical design software is considered an asset.

·        Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system design.

·        Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and certifications including UL and CSA requirements.

·        Knowledge of power distribution equipment, transfer switches, switchboards, or control panels is an asset.

·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·        Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·        Effective communication and teamwork skills.

·        Experience working in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
