We are looking for a detail-oriented Electrical Designer with experience in power distribution equipment to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical design for switchboards, transfer switches, power distribution systems, and control panels, with strong skills in AutoCAD Electrical and a solid understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and applicable industry standards including UL 891, UL 1008, UL 1558, and CSA requirements. This position is on-site in South Surrey, BC. It's ideal for someone who enjoys developing designs from concept through production and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Qualifications

·        Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

·        2+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably within power distribution, switchgear, or industrial electrical equipment manufacturing.

·        Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical; experience with other electrical design software is considered an asset.

·        Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system design.

·        Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and certifications including UL and CSA requirements.

·        Knowledge of power distribution equipment, transfer switches, switchboards, or control panels is an asset.

·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·        Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·        Effective communication and teamwork skills.

·        Experience working in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
